The Raven

Hey guys,

so today i decided to write a text in english. Sometimes it’s easier to find the right words in a foreign language.

The problem is that i somehow lack the vocabulary to really achieve a certain level of language.

But nevertheless here it is, i hope you enjoy.

The Raven

One black day you will awake,
blood dripping from your mouth.
You’ll realize that it´s too late.
Nothings gonna save you now.

The raven will wake up one day
and rise high in the mist.
When you collapse
he’ll be right there,
give you a deadly kiss.

When the reaper lifts it’s scythe
and the bombs end our lives.
When the raven ends his flight,
that’s when days turn into night.
And the last one kills the lights
when the day turns into night.

You saved your world by fighting wars,
you sold your soldiers lives.
All those men you sacrificed
will rise up in the light.

You raped our souls, you stole our dreams.
Just throw your masks away.
You’ll surely get what you deserve
It’s far too late to save the day.

As the raven rips dead flesh
from your bleaching bones,
hear the moans of all those mothers
crying for their sons

When the reaper lifts it’s scythe.
That’s when bombs end our lives
‚cause when death finally ends our fight.
That’s when days turn into night.
And the last one kills the lights,
when the day turns into night.

The silver mirrors ‚bout to crack.
That cold cash you adore,
now stabs you in the back.
It isn’t worth a dime no more
still you can’t free yourself.

Your spirit’s doomed to never die,
absorbed into the dust.
And nature claimed your corpse again
you lived a fucking lie.

When the reaper lifts it’s scythe,
that’s when we all meet our faith.
When the bombs end our lives,
that’s when days turn into night.
And the last one kills the lights
when the day turns into night.

As the raven ends his flight,
that’s when days turn into night.
When the reaper lifts it’s scythe
that’s when days turn into night.
And when death ends our fight,
that’s when days turn into night.
Just don’t forget to kill the lights
when the days turn into night.

6 Gedanken zu „The Raven

  1. So I decided to give it a try and comment also in english:
A very dark und blue poem – fits to your blog design. But I like it. It creates a special vision in my mind… I cant describe…

    1. Thanks,
that’s my goal, to create a vision in the readers mind.
To take you to another world and maybe make you forget your everyday life for a few minutes.

  2. Hi,

    LG Kerstin
